“The 2020 Australian Outback under-19s gridiron team will be one of the most athletically gifted cohorts Australia has ever sent to the Junior World Cup.”
That was the major takeaway for Coach John ‘Hollywood’ Roe after leading a squad of 82 players and 15 coaches through a week of national training camp at Tallebudgera Creek.
A squad of 60 players has been named to represent Australia in the 2020 Junior World Cup. Players selected in the A squad are travelling players, with the B squad being able to be called on at any moment to step up.
Players will be in camp prior to the tournament as of 27th of June and then flying straight to world championships from preliminary camp. The tournament will be held in Canton, Ohio at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium 5th July – 16th July 2020.
