Gridiron Australia is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of one of its valued members.
Adam Coles had been involved as a player, coach and administrator throughout Australia for nearly 20 years including four years at the University of Connecticut and time as the GNSW President. Most recently Adam had served as the South Australian Director on the Gridiron Australia board.
His easy-going demeanour and passion for the game made him well respected within the Gridiron community and he will be sorely missed.
Adam is survived by his wife and three children. I am sure all our hearts go out to them at this difficult time. Adam will be laid to rest in Adelaide on Friday 14th June at 1pm Folland Chapel Enfield Memorial Park, Clearview with an area booked at the Grange hotel immediately following. Another gathering will be held in Sydney in the coming weeks.
If you would like to support Adam’s family in this time of need a gofundme page has been set up.
Gridiron Australia is strongly committed to the mental health of its members and will be working on appropriate ways to not only honour Adam’s contributions to the sport but to also assist in the ongoing health and wellness of all its members.
